Introducing the Prodigy – a high-performance, low-volume surf kayak that’s designed to take your surfing to the next level. Perfect for smaller riders, this beauty boasts an impressive design that’s sure to impress.
Let’s start with the hull. The Prodigy features a ‘V’ nose for a forgiving initiation into critical lip turns and easier landings. This ‘V’ transitions into an aggressive single concave, which reaches its deepest point under the rider’s center of gravity for raw speed and paddling ability where it’s most needed. The single concave then changes into a more conservative double concave, providing more tail hold and helping water exit from the squashed tail.
The Prodigy’s generous, faceted rails allow for easy ‘rail to rail’ manoeuvrability, compensating for the sharp rails and extracting every bit of energy out of the wave face.
The deck features a slick, no-nonsense outline that promotes easy water flow and predictability, as well as a super comfortable seating position with plenty of foot room. The Prodigy’s deck also includes features for strengthening and design, making it the ultimate wave riding experience.
Key design features of the Prodigy include:
- high-performance, low-volume design
- ‘V’ to single concave to double concave hull
- squashed tail
- sharp, faceted rails
- comfort and performance-oriented seating position.
- The thruster fin setup adds to the Prodigy’s stability and control, making it the perfect choice for surfers who want to take their skills to the next level.
Designed in collaboration with Jem Howe, the Prodigy is the ultimate surf kayak for smaller riders who want to dominate the waves with style and precision.
