Hiko FALCON 10m Throw Rope V.2

One of three birds of prey that successfully challenged the status quo in throw rope design, the FALCON V.2 10M Throw Rope has been refined and strengthened in its latest version. Equipped with solid yet compact 8 mm strong and 10 meter long polypropylen rope with core, the FALCON V.2 is designed with professional guides and rescue teams who demand reliability, speed, and ease of use.
In the spirit of “perfection is a journey,” the V.2 has key improvements to the inner sling system which has made it both lighter and more durable. Additionally, the new loop design distributes load more efficiently, and an improved bartack pattern enhances overall strength. The throw bag has a certified tensile strength of 8000N. By removing all metal components, we’ve also reduced weight without sacrificing durability.

The result is a throw rope that’s both stronger, and lighter while still looking good in the hands of a professional.

ROPE:

Many argue this is the most important part. The rope can be easily attached and detached which allows us to offer a variety of ropes. All ropes are made 100% from polypropylene and float.

FALCON 8 mm with core: compact and strong. Not a rope you will want to use 10 times a day but it packs small. It is perfect for as a backup rope in your kayak. 10kN tensile / 8.5kN tensile with a knot.

The bag is itself is packed with innovative features designed to make the bag faster to deploy, easier to store, more durable a more reliable than ever before. Developed with guides and rescue professional this throw rope means serious business, however, there is no harm in it being really good looking too.
+ Reinforced entry with an innovative collapsing mechanism is secured by a military grade buckle. It is quick, reliable, durable and surprisingly compact.
+ The wall of the bag is reinforced with PE foam keeping the bag afloat, saving valuable space inside and maintaining the shape of the bag for easier feed of the rope.
+ The combination of high tensile sling with a metal ring at the inside of the bag provides an easy access to the knot. Exposed loop for a carabiner attachment remains consistent no matter how you tie the rope to the metal ring.
+ The end of each rope is visibly marked and you have the option to secure it in one of two loops located near opening.
+ The bag is compatible with the NEST belt system
