The FIVE is ZET’s 5th design to join their growing lineup. Developed together with the ZET team and top international paddlers, this new model brings everything an elite paddler can wish for in a boat designed for making active moves on whitewater. The FIVE is an aggressive boat designed to glide over all in it’s path while accelerating like a demon and holding the line without any loss of speed.
The FIVE is a boat for proactive whitewater paddlers. When actively kept under control the boat will reward you with an instant reaction to every stroke. Every eddy carved and hole boofed is bound to bring a smile to one’s face.
The narrow width and long, drawn out hull results in a boat that holds its line perfectly, and with very fast acceleration. The hull is designed to release effortlessly from the water, yet remain predictable and aggressive when put to the task. A rockered bow and balanced hull with no “catchy” features makes the FIVE easy to manoeuvre and sensitive to paddle strokes, qualities that translate well in a whitewater racing environment.
While designing the FIVE, intense focus was put not only in the functionality of the boat, but also the finer details and overall construction. The end result will no doubt leave you more than stoked about this special design from ZET kayaks.
And of course, the FIVE is created using a superior moulding technology + baking process that guarantees a high quality, high strength plastic shell complete with a well proven outfitting scheme that out lasts all other boats in its class.
ZET’s simple yet proven outfitting design remains robust, fully adjustable, and comfortable. A sturdy, closed-cell foam seat protects you from bigger impacts and provides considerable warmth compared to padded “water sponging” seats. Both front and rear pillar braces are formed seamlessly with the cockpit rim for added structural rigidity, safety and functionality. A supportive, dual ratcheting back-band sits firmly in place while providing unrestricted access to the rear of the boat. For the footrest, ZET provides their optional standard, adjustable bulkhead, or an un-drilled hull fitted with a customizable mini-cell foam foot-block to achieve the lightest, driest boat possible (only available during our preorder period).
