Sporty, stable and easy to manoeuvre, the CROSS has a long, wide rocker profile which has been designed to move easily through waves and holes while BOOFING beautifully at any speed. The planing ‘mid’ hull section is complimented by a subtle edge shape making the CROSS highly responsive when accelerating or holding a line. Meanwhile, the bow and stern’s displacement hull shape allows for the CROSS to easily turn with no ‘catchy features’. Altogether, the CROSS is the perfect whitewater companion for any purpose or environment.
Designed for paddlers in the range 70 to 100 kg, the CROSS’s incredible stability makes it suitable for not only expert kayakers, but also beginners and intermediate paddlers looking to improve their whitewater skills.
As always, the CROSS is created using a superior moulding technology + baking process that guarantees a high quality, high strength plastic shell complete with a well proven outfitting scheme that out lasts all other boats in its class.
Outfitting:
ZET’s simple yet proven outfitting design remains robust, fully adjustable, and comfortable. A sturdy, closed-cell foam seat protects you from bigger impacts and provides considerable warmth compared to padded “water sponging” seats. Both front and rear pillar braces are formed seamlessly with the cockpit rim for added structural rigidity, safety and functionality. A supportive, dual ratcheting back-band sits firmly in place while providing unrestricted access to the rear of the boat. For the footrest, ZET provides their optional standard, adjustable bulkhead, or an un-drilled hull fitted with a customizable mini-cell foam foot-block to achieve the lightest, driest boat possible (only available during our preorder period).

Richard Maggs –
The Cross has been my weapon of choice for over five years of paddling the gnar in British Columbia. After cracking my previous boat and having a gnarly hike out of a steep canyon I vowed to find the most durable boat for my next purchase. I have been far from disappointed with the durability that Zet boats have to offer. What’s more than the phenomenal durability and warranty service is the quiver killing design of this playful and nimble 9ft creek race machine. This design boasts a displacement hull up front that makes for soft landings when steep creeking. Combined with comfortable yet responsive outfitting; this boat protects you well during flat landings. The progressive stern rocker is a delicate balance between boats that skip relentlessly while maintaining the traction and precision you expect from a creek racing boat. Just behind the cockpit the boat flattens out to a relatively narrow pivot point that keeps the boat nimble while offering extraordinary pop when the boat is driven to planing speed. The soft forgiving edges allow high speed carving without causing the boat to act unpredictably when you slow down and transition edges. The stern is large enough to inspire confidence when late boofing high volume holes but not so large as to make the boat cumbersome or difficult to turn. It paddles very well when loaded, retaining its predictability and nimble pivot point. This boat pops off waves well even when loaded. The cross provides a very quick and snappy reward to well timed double pumps. Whether you’re sinking an end for a loop, freewheel, kickflip, or wave wheel this boat will snap out of the water and propel you skyward with a wonderful amount of speed. Even 4 years in there is no oil canning and the outfitting is solid and functional.
